Mygov payment summary
How do I get my income statement from MyGov? Is it compulsory to have a myGov account? What is payment summary information? Can employees set up MyGov?
STP they will continue to provide you with a payment summary by July (as they do now). Your employer should let you know if you will receive an income statement or payment summary but you should talk to them if you are unsure. For most people, their payment summary information will now be available at the end of the financial year in their ATO online services account through myGov and will be called an ‘income statement ’. Your year-to-date pay and super information is also available to you throughout the year in your ATO online services account. We’ll send a notification to your myGov inbox when your income statement is ‘tax ready’ so you or your tax agent can complete your tax return. Through your employer Your employer will continue to give you a payment summary if they are not yet reporting your tax and super information to us each pay day. You will also be able to access this information through a registered tax agent.

If your payment summary details haven’t pre-fille you can enter the amounts manually. If you need to lodge a tax return, you should wait until all your financial information has been pre-filled. The income statement is a new name for your payment summary (which some people call a group certificate). It is easy to set up a myGov account.

The payment summary should show each payee how much you paid them in the financial year , and how much you withheld from the payments. Instea your payment summary information will be available in ATO online services through myGov. Your end-of-year Income Statement is published directly through myGov.
This will be prepared and ready for employees by July if your employer has or more employees, or by July if your employer has or fewer employees. One way is to take a payment summary from either of the last two years and type in the gross amount you got paid.
I did that, and it said that the number was wrong. Umm, I am looking at my payment summary right now, it is clearly not wrong. Let’s make this really simple. If you use myTax, any change to your payment summary for the previous financial year will update your pre-filled information. We only send your information to the ATO for the last financial year. The ATO updates this information weekly starting from mid-July. Employers are required to supply employees with a payment summary by the July following the end of a financial year.
